Reedidas

Reebok is being bought over by the Germans. Another British company falls by the wayside, and now Adidas has rights over all major Indian cricketers. Anyway I really like Adidas and I wish them well with their new purchase, which came for a mere $3.8 billion.
I just returned from the presser that launched the new Tata Safari 'Dicor'. The Safari now looks like a smaller version of the Ford Endeavour and boasts a Common Rail Injection engine. The top end Safari 'Dicor' costs Rs 12.7 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi and features a DVD player with two 5-inch LCD screens builty in behind the front headrests plus a camera-aided reverse feature. Pretty cool. I liked it, I just hope it drives well.
On Nag's post about ToI and how Mumbaikars were denied ToI, I think big effing deal. Yes, some asshole in marketing should be shot, but these are marketing people and marketing people, frankly are scum and this is possibly not the worst marketing idea thought up by someone in a media organisation. Yes, its crass and silly, keeping the situation in mind - ToI was faced with the impending launch of DNA what would you do. If you are in marketing, I'm sorry to offend you, but I rank people in marketing below lawyers and politicians. Though, one might argue if journalists fall below marketing people.
I went to TC last night, I don't know why, but I just ended up there. Had a few beers and enjoyed the music, and despite the strange mixes of Bryan Adams into Metallica, it was nice to hear school-time faves such as Metallica's One after a long time. Man I'm old.
EDIT : I'm posting part of Press Release I got!
