Aren't they doing what do they do best – creating another diversion to cover up for their fuck ups? They've been screwing this country for the past so many years and we've let them do it, so we have no right to complain now.
I am no Pakistani supporter, but do you really believe that the Pakistanis did this to us? Right now the Taliban is squeezing Mr Zardari's testicles and that of various ministers of his government and the Army so hard that forget bombing India, they probably can't even take a piss without the Bearded One's permission!
Admit it, we fucked up big time.
1. We had the Intel, but MKN stuck it all between his hip pockets and forgot to exhale.
2. Maharashtra Police had the money to upgrade and how did they upgrade? - in their status with new cars and more comfy police stations. That's why we had policemen armed with pea shooters taking on terrorists with AK 47 at the Railway station and the Taj!
3. Fishermen told the cops that RDX was being smuggled from the coast but the latter preferred to go fishing.
4. The Chief Minister and his deputy knew of an attack, but preferred to ignore it.
5. We talk about terrorists using the sea route, when it's public knowledge that they've been doing this for years with the active connivance of the Coast Guard.
So don't complain and don't blame the world because 10 youngsters stripped the nation of whatever dignity and pride it had left. There wasn't much left anyway thanks to the politicians we vote for every five years.
And by the way, had Rakhi Sawant in reality been airdropped into the Taj the siege might have lasted a few hours instead of the 60 it did! The terrorists might possibly have preferred to get shot on the first day itself - watching her perform would have been a fate worse than achieving jannat.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9917432.post-52438586718341326572008-12-02T17:30:00.000+05:302008-12-02T17:30:00.000+05:30Reading all the reports of the incidents in Mumbai...Reading all the reports of the incidents in Mumbai, I wonder why we are still getting sucked into the game that politicians are playing. They put powder and cream on their faces and criticise politicians and democracy...”
R R Patil, NCP, outgoing home minister of Maharashtra – “In big cities, such small incidents happen”
Vilasrao Deshmukh, Congress, CM Maharashtra takes his son and producer Ram Gopal Verma to do some “disaster tourism” in the Taj...
BJP claimed to be united with the government in Mumbai while at the same time came out with a scathing advertisement in Delhi. Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje’s, BJP, has made terrorism an election issue.
As they say...Is hamam mein sab nange hain
Worse still, the celebrated journalist of our times Arun Shourie – someone, most of us have grown up admiring almost blindly, clinically dissects the government’s role in this mess by bringing out facts that how Shivraj Patil and co exactly knew what was going to be the modus operandi and yet, did not do anything. (Indian Express, December 1)
Perhaps, forgetting in his zeal that the Parliament attack happened under BJP’s leadership, and so was the hijacking of IC 814. – For sheer argument’s sake, the attack on the Parliament was much more audacious and showed larger failure of intelligence and systems than the “Mumbai Massacre”, unless Shourie wants to argue that they were caught napping. Or he speaks like former home minister Shivraj Patil’s – “We knew there was a terror threat but did not know when or where it will happen.”
I have a simple question. Politicians can be forgiven and they always are, for behaving in an abrasive manner. But should an intellectual, especially of Shourie’s stature be so insensitive? There wasn’t a single forward looking statement in that entire column. He was so busy putting facts together that he perhaps forgot that over 500 people were either dead or hospitalised.
Watching 24X7 television in the last few days has left many of us sick. I really wonder what democracy means? Does it create a “dog-eat-dog” society?
For me, it is as simple as this. I am angry. For now, I think every single politician should be stripped of every damn security cover and those bullet proofs cars. They should take cabs or autos to their respective offices. That will perhaps give confidence to the common man that our politicians are in the same boat. And force politicians to make sure that there is some serious security in our cities that protects them and their children.
Either they do that or we don’t vote for them. Is it possible?

www.mediamood.blogspot.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9917432.post-59943604112441588212008-12-02T13:23:00.000+05:302008-12-02T13:23:00.000+05:30I was born and brought up in small district,Kannur...I was born and brought up in small district,Kannur in Kerala. I've been in Delhi for the past 10 years now and what I hear about my city is that there are violent clashes between BJP and Communists going on. They are killing each other by cutting legs and hands. V S Achutanandan is a communist and me being pro BJP(and more an anti communist) desperately want the violent wing of BJP to cut is hands and legs and throw him in the gutter.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
